Matches and searches

A match is a person Gravity found who may help with your goal. They could be someone in your own Rolodex, or someone a fellow group member knows.

Understanding a match#

Gravity explains how the person could help and why meeting might be useful to them too. If a fellow member knows them, that member is the possible connector.

Matches through another member show a name and available public LinkedIn information. Their contact details and the connector’s relationship with them stay private.

A match is a possibility. It doesn’t mean the person or connector has agreed to an introduction.

Reading matches or searching again#

Your agent can show you matches Gravity has already found. Asking to see them starts no new search.

You can also ask for a new search, for example when more members have joined or their networks have changed. Saving a new goal, or changing what it asks for, already starts a search when one is needed.

Searches run in the background. Your agent can check their progress and read the results when they finish. A search may find no matches, or some networks may fail to finish. Your agent can explain the outcome and help you retry.

Making an introduction#

Gravity and your connected agent don’t contact anyone. Open the goal in Gravity to decide what to pursue.

For someone in your own Rolodex, you decide whether and how to reach out. For someone found through a fellow member, discuss the possible introduction with that connector in Gravity. The person who owns the relationship performs the outreach.

Ask your agent to find matches for a goal.
